Elizabeth RochonDr. Elizabeth Rochon is a professor in the Department of Speech-Language Pathology and the Rehabilitation Sciences Institute at the University of Toronto and a Senior Scientist and Associate Director at KITE Research Institute, Toronto Rehabilitation Institute, University Health Network.
Research activities in Elizabeth’s lab are focused on understanding language and communication difficulties in individuals with neurological disorders, in particular, patients with Alzheimer’s disease, primary progressive aphasia (PPA) and stroke. With a multidisciplinary group of colleagues and trainees, current research projects focus on aphasia treatment studies, functional neuroimaging studies, longitudinal analyses of language and neural changes in PPA and communication interventions for caregivers of individuals with dementia. |
