Laura Laird


Laura Laird is the Research Lab Manager in the Language Sciences Lab in the Department of Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Toronto and Administrative Coordinator for the Communication Team at KITE Research Institute, Toronto Rehabilitation Institute, University Health Network.

​Laura has worked with Dr. Rochon for 20 years and has collaborated on numerous research studies and contributed to many research presentations and publications. Laura is currently involved in research studies focused on aphasia treatment post stroke and the use of tablet-based apps in acute, subacute and chronic stages of recovery.  In addition, Laura is involved in a communication intervention research study for individuals with Primary Progressive Aphasia and their caregivers. She also
oversees the training and supervision of volunteers, research assistants and Work Study students, and is responsible for the overall day-to-day administrative and financial operations of the lab.
