RecoverNow: Early mobile tablet-based speech therapy
Summary: This is a multicenter Phase II randomized-control trial of early mobile tablet-based speech therapy for acute stroke patients with aphasia. Acute care inpatients with mild to moderate aphasia post-stroke are randomized to one of two conditions: a) usual care with mobile tablet-based speech therapy applications or b) usual care only. Outcomes include comparisons of cost-effectiveness, and overall change in aphasia severity, cognitive ability, and quality of life 90 days post-stroke.
